Casting Hope at the first Cinema City International Film Festival:
Ed McMahon, Edward "Ed" Peter Leo McMahon, Jr. (born March 6, 1923) is an American comedian, game show host, announcer and television personality most famous for his work on television as Johnny Carson's announcer on Who Do You Trust? from 1957 to 1962 and on the Tonight Show, from 1962 to 1992, and as the host of the talent show Star Search, from 1983 to 1995. He later also became well-known as the presenter of American Family Publishing sweepstakes (not to be confused with Publishers Clearing House) who arrives unannounced at the homes of winners. He subsequently made a series of Neighborhood Watch Public Service Announcements reprising that role in parody.
He also cohosted the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon', and performed in numerous television commercials, most notably for Budweiser.
In the 1970s and 1980s, he anchored the team of NBC personalities covering the network's coverage of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
McMahon has appeared in several films, including The Incident (1967), Fun With Dick and Jane (1977), Full Moon High (1981), Butterfly (1982) and in a brief bit in the film version of Bewitched (2005) . More.

Suzanne De Laurentiis is an independent producer who has been producing, directing, and writing feature films, television, commercials, documentaries and music videos since the early 1980’s. A native of New Jersey, Suzanne currently maintains her production offices in Los Angeles, California and South Jersey.
Coming from an extremely influential family in the entertainment industry, Ms. DeLaurentiis began her career at a very young age. She is classically trained in opera and studied at the most prestigious school of them all...Carnegie Hall, where she learned from the great Carlo Menotti. She has starred in and off-Broadway shows, movies and television. Suzanne DeLaurentiis is an accomplished singer, dancer, actress and musician.
In the early 1980’s and in her early 20’s, Suzanne DeLaurentiis began her own production company - Suzanne De Laurentiis Productions.
Having worked her way up through the ranks as a director of photography, director, writer and producer, some of her feature credits include; Brothers by Blood, Silicon Towers with Daniel Baldwin and Brian Dennehy, Twin Towers, Mutant Man, Skate Dragons, Pocket Ninjas, The Sterling Chase with Ilana Ubach and Jack Noseworthy, Out of the Black with Sally Kirkland and Jack Conley, and most recently A Month of Sundays with Rod Steiger.
Additionally, Suzanne has acted as a consulting producer on Mannequin 2, Swiss Family Robinson with Jane Seymour, and Rocky V. More.

Thomas Ian Griffith, Actor, Screenwriter, Producer, has worked the boards of Broadway as well as on the big and small screens of Hollywood. Broadway credits include “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,” The First”; films include “John Carpenter’s Vampires,” “Excessive Force,” “Kull the Conqueror,” “Sea Wolf,” “High Adventure” and “The Karate Kid III”; movies for television include “The Secret of Giving,” “Visions of Murder,” “Beyond the Prairie: The Story of Laura Ingalls Wilder” and “The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax,”; and recent television credits include “The Closer,” “Cold Case” and “One Tree Hill.”
Thomas also works as a screenwriter with four produced features. He is currently writing the comedy “Brownie Master” for George Lopez. More.

Leah Seminario, Actor, was most recently seen in the National Touring Company of Lerner and Loew’s “Camelot,” staring Michael York. Other credits include “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Suessical the Musical,” “Sweet Charity,” “Footloose,” “West Side Story,” “A Chorus Line” and “Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”
Leah has also choreographed for several youth theater programs in southern California: “Grease,” “Cinderella,” “The Wiz” and “Bugsy Malone” at the Norris Center of the Arts and “An Evening with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Stephen Sondheim” benefiting Broadway Cares / Actor’s Equity / Fight Aids. More.

Daniel Guzman, Actor, has appeared in Los Angeles theater productions of “Camelot” (with Michael York), “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Les Miserables.” On Broadway, Dan performed in “Cyrano: The Musical” and “Les Miserables.” He premiered in Moscow and Germany as Rum Tum Tugger in “Cats,” directed by Gillian Lynne and Andrew Lloyd Webber. He recently was seen in “Water and Power” at the Mark Taper Forum. On TV, Dan has appeared on “Ally McBeal,” “Diagnosis Murder,” “Beverly Hills 90210,” “Melrose Place” and other popular shows.

Tom Schmid, Actor, is a native of Brainerd, MN. His credits include more than 700 performances in Broadway’s “Annie Get Your Gun.” He also played the dual roles of Jekyll & Hyde in the musical of the same name. In the past four years, Tom has had over 30 television and film roles. He currently recurs on FOX’s “Vanished.” More.

Filippo, Actor, Singer, Chef and Engineer, was raised in Italy, moved to California to graduate from U.C. San Diego and was soon hired by IBM. Tiring of the corporate world, Filippo abandoned project management for a hit-making music career, which translated into instant popularity both in Eurpoe and the U.S.
Most recently Filippo joined famed cooking master Richard Lombardi for a new radio program called “Filippo and the Chef.” Having several voice-over film credits under his belt, he makes his acting debut in the upcoming film, “Run While You Can.” More.

Jackie Zabel, Screenwriter, Producer and Author, has long been involved in the entertainment industry with both film and TV credits. Jackie graduated with a Masters’ degree in Broadcast Journalism from USC. She also earned two undergraduate degrees in Journalism and Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, where she finished Phi Beta Kappa.
Jackie’s career started in local news, writing and producing for KCBS-TV. She’s written television episodes, movies of the week and has optioned both television and feature material to Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers and Universal. She is also a founding member of ATAS Cares, an Academy committee that helped benefit disadvantaged working women. More.
